BAs globalization reshapes the international economic landscape and technological change creates greater uncertainty in the world economy, youth entrepreneurship is believed to offer new ways to meet economic, social and environmental challenges. Entrepreneurship is gaining added attention in the present economic scenario. Entrepreneurship is not only a key facet of economic dynamism but also an imperative for economic growth, productivity, innovation and employment.
Understanding this, the Government of India has undertaken several initiatives and instituted policy measures such as Startup India, Stand-Up India and Atal Innovation Mission etc., to foster a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship in the country. With a significant and unique demographic advantage, India, however, has immense potential to innovate, raise entrepreneurs and create jobs for the benefit of the nation and the world.
But does our youth have the real exposure on what it takes to be a successful entrepreneur? Entrepreneurship is not in a gene; it is the spirit, and the willingness to learn from mistakes is what makes a successful entrepreneur.
ICT Academy Youth Entrepreneurship Summit 2018, creates an environment that triggers the spirit of entrepreneurship among the youth and foster their passion towards entrepreneurship. The summit will comprise of plenary sessions with leading entrepreneurs, breakout sessions on the various aspects of tech entrepreneurship, discussion on entrepreneurship and its societal impact and so on. The participants come face to face with thought leaders and practitioners from all walks of life, ranging from business, academia, and civil society that would help them to acquire the traits of entrepreneurship such as self-confidence, willingness to take risks, perseverance, self-reliance and a the thrust to achieve.
